PERFORMANCE

Nissan Rogue

When considering your next vehicle, one of the most important factors is performance. You’ll want to ensure you’re choosing a ride that has the acceleration, handling, and fuel economy that meets your needs. You’ll get just that with the 2023 Nissan Rogue and the Ford Edge.

Standard Motors Designed to Delight

Under the hood of the Rogue, you’ll find a standard 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine. This compact motor is perfect for putting a little pep in your Monday morning.

Expect some exciting drives with the Edge as well thanks to a baseline 2.0-liter I-4 powertrain.

Cut Down on Morning Gas Station Stops

Where these SUVs really differ, though, is in fuel economy. The standard motor in the Nissan Rogue earns an impressive EPA-estimated 30 city/37 highway MPG, which allows you to cruise right on past your corner gas station.*

You may have to schedule a stop with the Ford Edge, though, since its base engine achieves an EPA-estimated 21 city/28 highway MPG. While this vehicle does have an available engine option as well, it’s even less efficient with an EPA-estimated 19 city/25 highway MPG.

SAFETY

Nissan Rogue

With so much time spent behind the wheel taking your daughter to soccer practice or making a quick run to the grocery store before spin class, you’ll want to stay as safe as possible behind the wheel. No need to worry—the Nissan Rogue and the Ford Edge have you covered.

Baseline Protections for the Entire Family

No matter which of the five trim levels on each of these SUVs appeals to you, you and your little ones will be protected by the following standard safety features:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • High Beam Assist

In the 2023 Nissan Rogue, you’ll also have standard Rear Automatic Braking that keeps an eye on the rear of your vehicle and can even come to a complete stop if an obstacle is detected. Unfortunately, the Ford Edge doesn’t have a comparable baseline or available system to offer your family.

Upgrade Your Safety

Of course, you can never be too safe, so the Rogue and the Edge offer various available safety technologies as well, such as ProPILOT Assist. This automatic cruise control system maintains a set speed and following distance on the highway, allowing you to kick back and relax.

The best part is that it also utilizes stop-and-go traffic features to slow, accelerate, and stop your SUV as traffic calls for and lane centering to keep your vehicle between the lines.

One feature unique to the Rogue’s system, though, is the available Navi-link. It connects to your navigation system to slow your car in preparation for an off ramp or keep pace with detected speed limits.

Once again, a similar feature isn’t available on the Edge.

In both the 2023 Nissan Rogue and the Ford Edge, you’ll be treated to an expansive center display packed with entertainment options such as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. Simply plug in your compatible device to have access to some of your favorite apps.

Looking to leave your cord at home? No problem! The Rogue’s got you covered with available wireless smartphone integration. Don’t forget your cable in the Edge, though, since wireless capability isn’t available.

Top-of-the-Line Features

For even more engagement, the Nissan Rogue has a Head-Up Display available. This system projects essential driving information right onto your windshield directly within your line of sight for easier and safer driving.

You’ll need to take your eyes off the road in the Ford Edge, though, since this system isn’t available in this SUV.
